Over the years, the training styles that have been in vogue for runners have changed many times with each style having its merits and pitfalls. At SportZcoach, we have been working with competitive runners at both national and international level for a number of years. The key to running well is consistency. We all have the ability to improve both our speed and technique over time, but what makes the difference is how you perform on race day. The one thing that causes the most inconsistency with runners is injuries. The most astounding thing about this is that most injuries are caused from too much running, running too hard or poor technique, or a combination of all three. All are avoidable. Through proper planning of training programs and improvements in technique, you should be able to stay free from injury and perform at your best when it really counts.

At SportZcoach, we realize the importance of structuring programs that can be integrated effectively into your time frame while still providing the best possible training, thus allowing you to perform at your best when it really counts.

The old style static programs that have so often been used in the past are out dated because they do not allow the flexibility required to be successfully implemented by the athlete. If there is any problems in the build up such as injuries or other setbacks, you are unable to adjust the program to suit, therefore the whole program becomes obsolete, costing you both time and money.

All SportZcoach Running Programs are designed to provide this required program flexibility. Once you have decided on your major event and possible build-up events, we will develop a Periodisation Plan that shows you how much running you will be doing on each week of your build-up. We will also plan your speed phases into your program as well as your taper.

Our new internet based system allows for all your information to be stored online. All of your short and long term plans, training diary and race/training statistics will be stored within your area so both you and your coach can have easy access to your information, you will also be able to leave notes for you coach as well as you coach being able to leave notes and additional training information for you. Only you and your coach will be able to access the information and is protected by a log in pass word.

This new online system will allow us to monitor your training more closely meaning it will be easier for us know what works best for you and your training. In this way we will be able to constantly improve your program based on your feedback thus tailoring you program more closely to your needs and in the process will be able to build a repour with you on a one to one basis and guide you towards achieving your triathlon sporting goals.

All programs are designed specifically for the individual and are therefore unique in there design. As athletes we all have individual strengths and weaknesses. Athletes also range in ability from novices just starting out in the sport through to others who are competing at an elite international level. Due to these large variations in athlete abilities and therefore coaching needs it becomes difficult to come up with a one size fits all pricing plan.
