Over the past Decade I have been
involved in coaching many endurance sports both as a coach and
athlete and am currently a high performance coach with Triathlon New
Zealand, I reside with my wife and two sons in Dunedin New Zealand
but work with athletes all over the world.
Coaching Philosophy
I believe that the role of the coach is to guide athletes towards
their own personal goal. For some athletes this is to win races at
an elite level but for most the goal is to better ourselves and in
this I am know different. I am a firm believer that regardless of
how good you are as a coach, how much you may have achieved in the
past and how much you think you know there is always a great deal
more to go, for this reason I am continually training and retraining
in areas that I feel will benefit the athletes I work with.
International Coaching
In 2003 I was assistant coach to the NZ Elite Triathlon Team that
competed in the Geelong ITU World Cup Australia, I have also worked
with Elite athletes Sarah Bryant, Victoria Beck, Taryn Mcleod and
Craig Mathews on their international racing campaigns over the past
5 years. In addition to this I am currently Working with Taryn
Mcleod while she is based in France racing the French Grand Prix
series as well as ITU world Cup events and International point’s
races.
National Coaching
At national level I have worked with athletes from age group through
to elite and over the past 5 years athletes under my guidance have
won 14 national titles in Duathlon, Triathlon and Running.

Athlete Thoughts
"One of the most important benefits I've experienced by training
with Justin Trolle is the motivation I gained from his vision of
having goals for me that are grand in scale but doable if I train
hard. Working with him over the Internet has been very easy - he
responds to questions in a timely way, has my workout schedule out
to me on time, and is quick to make changes to my workouts when
required. His knowledge and experience are obvious in the variety
and difficulty level of the schedule he sets for me. The results
have been very gratifying." – Jean Domel USA, IL.
Justin’s help and assistance has been invaluable in raising my
fitness and performance. Before I obtained his guidance, I lacked
the knowledge to develop and maintain an effective training
schedule. Now, my training is specific and targeted toward my race
schedule and is coordinated with my work and family
responsibilities. Though his one-on-one direction, I have made great
strides and recently placed first in an age group race – my first
ever. – Steve Marshal, USA, AL. |
